Old Slate Farm is a cut flower + Katahdin sheep farm located in central Ohio. We specialize in crafting beautiful event florals from sustainably grown flowers raised on our farm and other specialty cut flower farms across the state and nation.
Our Katahdin sheep are raised on pasture with minimal inputs, the core flock of 100+ ewes graze our pastures, lambing in the spring. Much care is taken to produce excellent breeding stock for fellow producers.

We offer full service event floral design for weddings and parties using an abundance of flowers grown here on our farm. Flowers are also sourced from other local farms, and when necessary, shipped from sustainable sources.
Our garden-style, romantic designs are a perfect compliment to most any venue and wedding style. From classic and timeless to wild and organic, we craft seasonal, fragrant, beautiful flowers.

The flower stand can be found at 7510 Granville Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio
Opening in the summer of 2019, our flower stand is located at the farm, 7510 Granville Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. We stock the stand with mixed bouquets, bunches of sunflowers and other special flowers for the table and home. Heirloom vegetable starts, unique produce offerings, and wreaths are also available seasonally.
The farm stand is self-serve, and operates on the honor system. Instructions are posted in the stand, and we accept cash, check, or Venmo. We appreciate your honesty allowing us to provide our flowers and wares to the local community.
The stand is open as time and weather permits, starting at 9AM on Saturdays, if the sign is posted out by the road, we are open. Please pull into our circle driveway and help yourself to our farm’s bounty.
